Moving forward after a tasty helping of ‘Sandwiches’ remixes which launched Detroit Grand Pubahs’ new label Engineroom, their own Mr O now weighs in with  ‘I Just Want Normal’, which is due for release in September and features a remix from Mark Broom.

‘I Just Want Normal’ is a driving techno cut where Oliver Way under his Pubahs’ pseudonym, Mr O meanders past a stripped-down landscape and on into warped and dizzying madness, where a sinister bassline and persistent top end rage together.  Pulsating and gyrating, Mr O might “want normal” but thankfully for us, he won’t find it here!

Mark Broom continues to add strings to his bow whether it’s the darker side of electronica as one half of The Fear Ratio with James Ruskin, slamming down twisted acid, jacking house and stomping techno via his Beardman imprint, or ravier excursions on the likes of Cocoon.  Mastering so many sounds could also be what makes him such a great remixer, and the evidence is clear on this forceful remix.
